Privacy Policy & Terms

Last updated: May 2026

This document covers Bhavani Sakthi Peetam's privacy practices and the terms that apply to event registration, Dakshina offerings, cancellations, and refunds. Please read it carefully before registering for any programme or event.

Part I — Privacy

1. About This Policy

Bhavani Sakthi Peetam (bhavanisakthipeetam.org) is a sacred mission dedicated to establishing a conscious centre for liberation, healing, and Dharmic knowledge. We respect your privacy and are committed to handling any personal information you share with care, transparency, and integrity.

2. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when you voluntarily provide it:

  • Registration: Name, email address, phone number, and city/country — collected when you submit an expression of interest to attend an event.
  • Payment: We do not collect or store payment card or bank account details directly. Dakshina via UPI or bank transfer is processed through your own banking app or portal. We receive only confirmation of the transaction.
  • Contact Enquiries: Your name, email, and the content of your message when you write to us.
  • Browsing Data: Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) retained by our hosting provider for security purposes. We do not use this to identify individuals.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To review, confirm, and communicate event registration and attendance.
  • To send event details, logistics, and important updates related to the programme you registered for.
  • To respond to your enquiries.
  • To send occasional updates about the Peetam's sacred work, only where you have expressed interest. You may opt out at any time.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for any commercial or marketing purpose.

4. Third-Party Services

5. Cookies

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. Your browser may store basic session data as a standard part of website operation.

6. Data Security & Retention

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access or disclosure. We retain your information only as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Registration data for a specific event is retained for that event cycle and archived thereafter. You may request deletion at any time by writing to us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your information.
  • Withdraw consent for communications at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, write to us at connect@bhavanisakthipeetam.org.

Part II — Event Registration & Terms

8. Registration Process

Attendance at sacred events organised by Bhavani Sakthi Peetam is by prior registration only. Walk-ins are not permitted, as the energy of each Sthapana or programme requires focused devotion and space is strictly limited.

  • Submitting a registration form is an expression of interest, not a confirmed booking. Confirmation is issued by the Peetam after review.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with event details once your registration is accepted.
  • Registrations that do not receive a confirmation should be treated as not accepted.
  • The Peetam reserves the right to decline registrations without providing a reason, in the interest of maintaining the sanctity of the event.

9. Dakshina & Payments

Dakshina is a sacred offering made voluntarily in support of the Peetam's consecration and work. It is not a commercial ticket price. By offering Dakshina, you are participating in the sacred act of supporting Dharmic work — not entering into a commercial transaction.

  • Domestic (India): Dakshina may be offered via UPI or bank transfer. Details are provided upon confirmation of registration.
  • International: Dakshina may be offered in cash upon arrival at the venue. Bank transfer arrangements may be made by writing to us in advance.
  • Tax Exemption: Contributions are eligible for an 80G deduction under the Income Tax Act (India). A receipt will be issued upon request.
  • Please retain your payment confirmation or transaction reference as proof of Dakshina.

10. Cancellation by Attendee

We understand that circumstances may change. If you are unable to attend after confirming your registration, please inform us as early as possible by writing to connect@bhavanisakthipeetam.org.

  • More than 7 days before the event: Cancellation accepted. Your Dakshina offering will be transferred to the Peetam's sacred fund. No monetary refund is applicable as Dakshina is a voluntary sacred offering.
  • Within 7 days of the event: Cancellation noted but your confirmed spot may be offered to a person on the waiting list. Dakshina offered will be retained by the Peetam.
  • Exceptional circumstances (hospitalisation, bereavement, serious illness): Please write to us with details. The Peetam will review on a case-by-case basis and make every effort to accommodate a compassionate response.

11. Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Peetam

Sacred events are conducted in alignment with cosmic timing, ritual requirements, and practical factors. In rare circumstances, the Peetam may need to postpone, reschedule, or cancel an event.

  • All confirmed registrants will be notified promptly via email or phone.
  • If the event is rescheduled, your registration will be transferred to the new date. You may choose to withdraw, in which case any Dakshina already offered will be refunded in full.
  • If the event is cancelled entirely, Dakshina already offered will be refunded in full within 14 working days.

12. Refund Policy

Because Dakshina is a voluntary sacred offering and not a commercial fee, refunds are not standard practice. However, we recognise our duty of care to all devotees:

  • Event cancelled by the Peetam: Full refund processed within 14 working days to the original payment method.
  • Attendee cancels due to exceptional circumstance: Reviewed individually — partial or full refund may be granted at the Peetam's discretion.
  • Attendee cancels voluntarily: Dakshina offered is retained as a contribution to the Peetam's sacred work and is not refundable.
  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original UPI ID or bank account used for the offering. International refunds will be coordinated individually.

13. Conduct at Sacred Events

All attendees are expected to maintain the sanctity of the space. The Peetam reserves the right to ask any attendee to leave if their conduct is disrespectful to the sacred proceedings, other devotees, or the presiding authority. No refund of Dakshina will be made in such cases.

  • Dress code, entry restrictions, and temple rules must be strictly observed.
  • Photography, mobile phones, and recording devices are not permitted inside the sanctum.
  • Children are not permitted during the Pratishtha ceremony.

Part III — General

14. Photography & Media Consent

Sacred events organised by Bhavani Sakthi Peetam may be photographed or filmed by the Peetam or its authorised representatives for documentation, the website, or social media. By attending an event, you acknowledge that your image or likeness may appear in such materials.

  • If you wish to be excluded from event photography, please inform us in writing before the event. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
  • Attendees are not permitted to photograph or record inside the sanctum. Photography of the general venue area is permitted unless specifically restricted by the presiding authority.
  • Any photos or videos taken by attendees at our events must not be used for commercial purposes or published in a manner that misrepresents the sacred work of the Peetam.

15. Communication Consent

By registering for an event or submitting a contact enquiry, you consent to receiving communications from the Peetam through the channels you have provided — including email, phone, and WhatsApp — for the purpose of that registration or enquiry.

  • Event updates, logistics, and confirmations may be sent via WhatsApp or SMS to the phone number registered.
  • You may opt out of non-essential communications at any time by writing to us. Transactional messages related to your registration cannot be opted out of.

16. Health & Physical Responsibility

Attendance at sacred events involves participation in rituals that may require standing, circumambulation, bathing in outdoor kunds, or other physical activity. By registering, you confirm that you are in suitable physical and mental health to participate.

  • The Peetam is not liable for any health incidents, injuries, or adverse reactions that occur during or as a result of attendance at an event.
  • Attendees with medical conditions, physical limitations, or who are pregnant are advised to consult their physician before attending and to inform the Peetam at the time of registration.
  • The Peetam reserves the right to deny entry or participation to anyone whose health or conduct may pose a risk to themselves or others.

17. Force Majeure

The Peetam shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in conducting an event due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural events — floods, earthquakes, storms, or other acts of nature.
  • Government orders, restrictions, or regulatory prohibitions.
  • Public health emergencies or epidemics.
  • Ritual or astrological requirements that necessitate a change in date as determined by the presiding authority.

In such cases, the Peetam will communicate promptly and will offer a reschedule or full refund of Dakshina as appropriate. No further liability or compensation shall be applicable.

18. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including articles, stories, photographs, artwork, videos, and ritual descriptions — is the intellectual property of Bhavani Sakthi Peetam unless otherwise credited.

  • Content may not be copied, reproduced, republished, or distributed without prior written permission from the Peetam.
  • Personal, non-commercial sharing with proper attribution is welcomed and encouraged.
  • Links to external websites are provided for reference only. The Peetam does not endorse the content of external sites and is not responsible for them.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Bhavani Sakthi Peetam's liability in connection with any event, programme, or use of this website shall be limited to the amount of Dakshina actually paid by the individual in respect of that specific event.

The Peetam makes no warranties — express or implied — regarding spiritual outcomes, experiences, or results arising from participation in any event or practice. Each individual's journey is their own.

20. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These terms and any disputes arising from them shall be governed by the laws of India. Any legal proceedings shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India. International attendees agree that by registering for an event, they accept this jurisdiction.

21. Children's Privacy

Our website and events are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Minors attending events must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf.

22. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our programmes and practices evolve. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the website or registration for events after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
