The Attire of a Maiden Queen
Bala Naga Kanni is a divine queen. Therefore, she adorns only royal, natural fabrics of the highest purity — strictly pure silk or pure cotton. Synthetic materials are not to be offered.
Because she manifests as a Kanni (a young, unmarried maiden), her preferred attire is not the traditional full saree, but rather the beautiful Half-Saree (Pavadai Dhavani / Langa Voni). Devotees wishing to offer clothing should select vibrant half-sarees made of authentic silk or cotton to honor her youthful and royal essence.
Additionally, devotees may offer high-quality pure cotton Jari shawls or Ponnadai. For reference on the quality and purity expected, traditional pure cotton shawls like those from Ramraj Cotton are excellent examples of acceptable fabric offerings.
